Does this effect the world?
This conflict does have an effect on the world. In 1991, Ukraine became independent. When they did, they inherited nuclear weapons from the Soviet Union. That made them fourth in largest nuclear power in the world. They were removed in 1994 due to persuasion from the western but in return, Ukraine would be reassured by leaders of the United States, Russia and the United Kingdom. However, Russia did invade Crimea. This might give concerns of not being able to develop nuclear weapons in countries which may have serious actions on global security.
